You’ve got questions and we’ve got answers!

General Questions:

Q: What kind of camera do you use?  Do you shoot with film or digital cameras?

A: We use Professional Canon Hi-Resolution Digital Cameras.  We do not use film cameras.

Q: Do you bring backup equipment with you?

A: Yes, we have multiples of every piece of equipment we use!

Q: Will there be an assistant to the Photographer at our Wedding/Event or Portrait Session?  Do we have the option of having a 2-camera coverage?

A: We discuss the need for a 2nd Camera with each Wedding or Event client, but typically Portrait Sessions do not include a 2nd shooter.

Q: Do you limit how many images you shoot?

A: No, we shoot for the hourly coverage of a Wedding or Intimate Celebration in which we are contracted for OR the timeframe reserved for a Portrait Session and do not limit how many images are taken, nor do we limit how many proof images you view/receive.

Q: Do you charge a travel fee?

A: We discuss traveling with our clients case by case.  In some cases, yes, we do charge a travel fee.

Q: Do you have a portfolio or sample work that we can see?

A: Absolutely!  The creative work we display on our website,, will give you a good feel for our style.  In addition, we create a new blog post for each Session, Wedding or Intimate Celebration that we photograph, which will highlight some of our favorites from the shoot!  This is the best way for our clients to stay up to speed with the latest and greatest of what we offer!  You can also schedule a complimentary consultation with us to discuss details about your Wedding, Intimate Celebration or Portrait Session and view more of our sample work, such as albums and other products, in person.  We schedule appointments on select Tuesdays, Thursdays and Sundays...and a few Saturdays throughout the year.

Q: What style of Photography would you say your work reflects?

A: Our goal is to tell a story with pictures, so you will receive a variety of styled shots, including posed groups and candid, however, we like to shoot everything as journalistic as we can! Natural expressions, emotions and reactions are key to telling your story!

Q: Have you had experience in photographing a Wedding in a church?  Sometimes lighting is a problem when photographing indoors.  Is this something you are familiar with?

A: Yes, we have photographed many Weddings, whether indoor or outdoor.  Indoor locations, specifically churches, typically have rules for Photographers to abide by.  The main question our clients come across is lighting.  When photographing a church ceremony we are usually not allowed to use flash Photography thru the bulk of the ceremony, only precessional and recessional and yes, this is fine for us to work with.  We use a tripod to photograph ceremonies when these rules are in effect.  As far as indoor receptions, we use high-powered flashes on our cameras when photographing indoors, so lighting is not an issue in most cases.

Q: Do you have any references that we may contact?

A: Yes, we can definitely provide you with references upon your request.

Reservation/Booking Questions:

Q: How far in advance can we book Photography services with you?

A: You can book Photography services as far ahead as you'd like.  We book the majority of our Weddings 8-12 months in advance, our Intimate Celebrations 6-8 months in advance and our Portrait Sessions 2-4 months in advance.

Service Questions:

Q: Do you have set packages or can we customize a package?

A: Yes!  We do offer pre-designed packages for Weddings and Intimate Celebrations, however we can customize a package for you, should you prefer.  For Portrait Sessions, we do offer a few different options, depending on the portrait type and client needs.

Q: If we change our mind on our package needs over the term of our contract, prior to our Event, are we able to adjust our package?

A: Yes, you can make adjustments to your contract after it has been signed and deposit has been made, however, there is a $200 fee to do so, which will be added to your contract.

Q: If we discover on our Event date that we would like for our Photographer to stay for additional coverage, is this possible?

A: Yes, we will work with you on providing overtime should you need it, as long as we aren't contracted at another event or have prior commitments following yours.  For this reason, we do suggest that you try to include all coverage needed, in your contract, so that we already have the time secured for you.  In addition, the overtime fee is higher per hour if not included in the Contract.

Q: We would like to have Engagement Portraits taken.  Is this a service that you offer?

A: Yes, we do offer Engagement Portraits, as well as many other Portrait Session Options (Family, Newborn, Children, Pregnancy, Graduation, Annual School Portraits, Business Portraits and more!)  We offer Outdoor (on location) & Studio Sessions. Please feel free to contact us for more information.

Q: Do you provide touch up/artwork services for the images?

A: Yes.  Our final printed images are given a little extra digital love before leaving our studio!  What this means is that your finished image will be color corrected, touched up and we put an added artistic finish to give the image that extra sparkle!  We call this a Fine Art Finish.  However, some specific requests for artwork may incur additional fees, depending on each request.  We do not touch up every proof.

Product Questions:

Q: Do you edit the images before we view them?

A: Yes, the images are edited and color corrected.

Q: Once you have photographed our Wedding, Intimate Celebration or Portrait Session, how do we view our images?

A: With everything we photograph, we include a password protected Web Gallery as your first form of viewing.  Your family & friends can even easily enjoy the memories as well!  For Weddings and Intimate Celebrations, images are hosted for 60 days.  For Portrait Sessions, images are hosted for 14 days.  We also offer Proof Albums and/or a Hi-Resolution Disc of Images for purchase.

Q: In what format are the Hi-Resolution Images?

A: Hi-Res JPG format.

Q: Can we still order enlargements through you in the future even if we purchase the Hi-Resolution Disc of Images?

A: Definitely!  We do keep a copy of the images for at least 3 years, so anyone can order prints and any other product we offer, during that time.

Q: Do you utilize your printing services through a professional lab?

A: Absolutely, we work with professional printing labs, as well as professional album distributors and framing companies, enabling us to offer the highest quality products to our clients.

Q: Are all images taken in color?

A: Yes, but you can have any image printed in Color, Black & White or Sepia toned, as well as a variety of other color variations and there are no additional fees.

Q: What are your turn times for processing different product?

A: We can provide approximations on turn times, but these times can increase or decrease during certain times of the year (i.e. holidays) and can also be extended due to our client requests, which might take additional time.  Here are our average turn times:
